I'd wouldn't use the same ring for both. If you do, you've made a transformer, and a change in the current flowing through one wire will cause an induced voltage (a "potential difference" between points on the wire before and after the windings) in the other wire. I tried it once and the house fuse...

Well - I've got an FSP 300-60BT(12V) and never got that quiet. It has a large choke mounted on the psu lid, I think for PFC. And in my psu that vibrates a lot. Grommeting the choke mounts (3 screws) helped a bit but didn't solve it completely. There was nothing mounted on the lid in my unit but it ...

My PSU is humming
Hello I have a problem with my new PSU. It is Fortron/Source FSP350-60BTP modded with Panaflo. I guess its Active PFC model. And it's humming quite bad. At the beginning i had allso this high freqency whine, this dissapeared after i had put the ferrite ring around 5v line to my Seagate Barracuda V. ...

Is there a secret to getting them to fit in the damn hole properly? I've tried pushing pretty damn hard and I would think they should just slide in fairly easy. The secret is to pull not push. They are pretty elastic and they strech out when you pull them, thats why they have the bumped end so that...

Mezi, where did you get yours from? I asked from Dorothy i reffered above. She has never advertized she has them on sale. I was buying panaflo and nmb fans from here. I sent here cash by mail and you dont have smaller banknotes than 5 pounds. So i had to send her a little over 3 pounds more than th...

They both are Gelmec fan mounts (in US as EAR mounts) http://www.emc-components.com/GelmecElastomerFanMountPage.htm PDF on that page gives spec about sizes. The price in kustompc-s is too expencive. I guess you can get them cheaper straight from gelmec. Or maybe Dorothy can help you, ask her dorothy...

My idea was to buy Aopen (Fortron) FSP300-60 ATV and to mod it with Panaflo, NMB or Verax of corse with bungee mounts. I guess i will try all of them in and see which one works best. Just to give you more ideas. As most of the "quiet" PSU-s are overpriced and slightly modded Fortron clones i decided...

My brother kindly donated a HUGE heatsink to me (three times the size of what you see in the picture)- originally destined for cooling three phase motor drives. There where fins coming from the size, so I had to cut it down to the size I wanted, and machine these fins off. I think the original 'sin...

I guess it's easier to implement automated shipping calculator in the shopping cart with a limited country-list. So i'm afraid if you are complaining too much they may do that kind of calculator and easily forget Estonia and some other small places. :( I hope when they do so, thay at least leave "Ot...

It depends on the grill (how thick wire is used) and the holes in the case (if the holes are flat or not). The blue ones from EAR products have large enough "head" to hold the grill but very limited space between the head and the first "collar" that should leave a gap between the fan and the case. I...

Connecting 2 fans to 1 mobo connector?
Some help for newbie please :) I have an Intel D845GEBV2 mobo. It is capable to control the speed of three fans based on the readings of onboard temperature sensors. There are connectors for CPU fan and front, rear casefans. I would like to connect two fans to the rear casefan connector. Can i do th...

I guess one reason why they don't show shipping charges is that they are shipping worldwide and do not limit the international shipping with coutry list. Very nice of them from my point of view. Not much US dealers are willing to ship anywhere in the world and accept international credit cards. I en...

Modding stock P4 HSF with Verax?
Hi you silent gurus, I'm quite a new to silencing so i need your advice. I have 2,4 GHz P4 with stock HSF and it's too noisy. I allso have one tempcontrolled Verax fan running in my (some cheap codegen 250W s..t that came with my case) PSU. The PSU is still no good, it has allmost no heatsinks insid...

I have 80 GB Cuda V and allso noticed the seek noise to be unbelievably loud allthrough otherwise the drive seems to be quiet. I cannot hear any other noise, exept seeking, over Intel's bundled cooler that is still waiting to be replaced with zalman or smth. After i decoupled the drive with NoVibes ...
