An easier way to install this "critter." I had no problem doing it with it installed in my case. I did remove the VGA card to gain some working room though. 1) Remove old CPU retention part. 2) Install Thermalright retention part. 3) Hold the HS at an angle, so that the side with the heatpipes is ap...

I'm not in this for a silent system, just a quieter OC rig. I have a Coolergate II that the 3 pin header on the northbridge cooler will be plugged into. When I game, I can turn the fan up and run it @ 7v normally...as with all of my fans. I thought about cutting down a Zalman, but it would not be mu...

It fits on my Epox 8KDA3J without much problem. The memory has to be removed so that the first two hooks can be engaged, but the memory can still be isntalled below the heatsink. Added bonus is active cooling on my RAM. So far, my Idle temp is 35C (1C above case temp ) and my load is 49C with AS5 an...

XP-120 on an A64 3000+
Well, I just installed my XP-120 on my Epox 8KDA3J and 3000+ (754). It's a tight fit, but it fits. I was worried that it would not fit next to the blue retention clip of the VGA Silnecer on my 9800pro, but it does by about a 1/4". The install was not bad, the stock plastic retention clip simply unsc...

Like I said, I won't install it until I get the replacement screws. I can take a picture of it with the barbs on it next to some normal everyday computer items to give you an idea of the size of it if you want though. If so, I'll take some tonight or tomorrow (at the latest)...as I wont be home agai...

Well, I received this pump today and I must state that this thing is no bigger than the standard wooden blocks w/ letters on them that infants play with. Upon inspecting it, I did notice that one of the 4 housing screws was quite rusted. An email to C-Systems came with a prompt reply indicating that...

OK...my bad. Upon opening up my case, I discovered that the screws that bolt the cpu block on for my DD TDX are TOO LONG. Therefore, to add a BIX or a second fan to a BIPro, a trip to the hardware store would be required to purchase screws that are almost an inch shorter. Seeing as to I spent too mu...

OK, I think I figured it out. I had to bend the PSU support bar where the rad made contact to elevate it a little more to fit through my modded holes on the back. I'm not big into hiding wires, its easier to just kind of bundle them in my opinion. It looks like a socket hold down clamp, but I couldn...

I have the non-bqe version of the 3700 and just installed my first WCed setup in it. With regards to a rad on the rear 120 fan, it worked for me...but it is a TIGHT fit. My rad is a BIPro and the side door can only be kept close by fastening the rear thumb screws. The latches won't stay closed witho...

Well, since I'm not happy with my noise making Hydor L20, I ordered one. They are about three weeks behind on them as a result of their two positive recent reviews. I'll let ya'll know my impressions when it is available to me. Give, my comparison will only be to my impressions with the L20. Hopeful...

Noise w/ Hydor L25 pump
Anyone have problems w/ noise on a Hydor L20 or L25 pump? I hooked up my first WC rig last night and can't seem to get anymore air out of the pump. When I turn the pump on, about two-thirds of the time the pump is noisy. The other third it is relatively quiet with a slight clicking or "clacking" noi...

Well, I just ordered one from FrozenCPU. They cost the same amount as the RDX, but I like the two barb design...whether it works better than the RDX or not, no one knows at the moment. I just found some new info on new versions of the Hydor pumps now on sale at DD. I just picked up the L25 for $38 from DD. Depending on your system needs, you may want to try one of our new pumps; L25 or the L35. The new series of pumps feature new impellers and lower wattages. The new L25 ($39.95) ...

OK...I'm pretty decided upon the Hydor L20 as my pump. It should be enough to handle a res, a rad and a cpu block only. I like the small size of it to fit in my 3700AMB and I like the low noise it produces. I'm confused on the waterblock though. Everything I've read has suggested that the RBX & WW t...

Waterblock Suggestions?
I'm looking at starting a water cooling rig and I would like some input on choosing a waterblock. I know the RBC, WW, etc. are the best, but I'm not interested in using the louder pump that they require. I'm probably going to use a Hydor L20, a BIP w/ Enermax adjustable 120 and a res. The only thing...

Silent Dual Opterons?
I was wondering if anyone here is running a dual Opteron rig that is silent or close to silent. I'm interested in making the switch to a dual system, but I've not heard anything about the noise associated with it. Any thoughts, recommendations or opinions?

How quiet is a Koolance Rig?
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... &CatId=343
The attached rig is only $99 at Tiger Direct.
How quiet and how easy or difficult is it to maintain this system?
Thanks.
