Can you safely mount a Mobo to Plywood?

With completely different thermal expansions of circuit boards & plywood, can you successfully mount your Mobo to plywood without worring that they will expand at different rates and ruin the Mobo?

Ending up making a wood case...

Well, I did a rather crude noise cancellation experiment with some PVC pipes and it didn't work that well... so I'm making a wood case.
