Re: Asus, MSI, Gigabyte - Advice and experiences?
I finally settled on the Gigabyte GV-N66TOC-2GD. It was in stock at amazon for the same price as most non-overclocked 660 Ti cards. The return policy there is quite good. It came with the Borderlands 2 download coupon. It performed quite well in the most thorough review of these cards that I've rea...

Very beautiful picture, like a futuristic town from science fiction movies. Zalman ZM-NBF47 was also a tight fit between SLI-slots with Asus A8N-SLI.wumpus wrote:

I'm happy with my Albatron. No problems at all. Really cheap and came with Call Of Duty 2 (which I sold for good price )

My new SP2504C is driving me nuts!
There's no metal to metal contact and it's insulated with HDD Shell II. The noise amplifies with 1 second cycle and it's like wwhhHUMmm.. ..wwhhHUMmm.. ..wwhhHUMmm.. That sound is driving me nuts and I can hear it to my bed (3-4 meters away). There's no way to return this HD to the store, so I guess...

I installed Zalman VF700-CU and ZM-VHS1. It was trickier than I assumed. http://tonalt.kapsi.fi/zalman/zalman1.jpg There wasn't enough room so I had to move memory heatsinks "a little bit". I hope that it doesn't cause any overheat problems. http://tonalt.kapsi.fi/zalman/zalman2.jpg Finally I manage...

Ok my card looks like this: http://www.ixbt.com/video2/images/nv43-5/palit-6600gtagp-scan-front.jpg I'm afraid that there's no chance to use fully passive cooler, so I thought that if any of the coolers will fit, it will be Zalman VF700-CU. But look at this site: http://www.zalman.co.kr/product/cool...

:) From Zalman website (ZM80D): This product cannot be installed on nVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT and 6800 Ultra because they do not have 3mm heatsink installation holes. Also, this product cannot be installed on nVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT AGP, 6600 AGP, and PCX 5*** series products. From Aerocool website (VM-...

Hi I just bought this videocard and I was wondering, that what is the most silent cooler for it? Searched some forums and it looks like there's only a couple of compatible coolers for it. I just bought Nexus NX-4090 and I'm very pleased with it. It's a lot quieter than my old Zalman 400W. Now only thing I hear to my bed (about 3 meters to computer) is Samsung 160GB SATA HD. Maybe I have to buy one of these for that.

Zalman ZM400A-APF, worth upgrading?
The loudest component in my system is that Zalman PS. Since Seasonic powersuplies are not yet (or ever?) available in Finland, the best alternatives are: NB-Fortron UltraSilent 400 Watt (119€) Nexus Silent Power 350W Special Edition NX-3500 (60€) I bet NB-Fortron is much more silent than my Zalman, ...

Add me to the list. I had 160GB Seagate 7200.7 SATA. Now I have 160GB Samsung SP80 SATA. Write/read -noise is lower, but idle noise is higher. I can hear idle noise only from short distance like 20cm, so it doesn't bother me while I'm sleeping (bed is ~3m from computer). I'm pretty glad with my new ...

I'm not pleased with Zalman 400W and now I'm between Coba and Nexus 350W. You can get Nexus in Finland from here: http://www.bdog.fi/cgi-bin/netstore/tuo ... 8090000008. The price isn't that bad, I paid ~120€ for the Zalman :O

Panaflo should be quieter at same airflow than Papst, according to this new test: http://murobbs.muropaketti.com/thread.jsp?forum=23&thread=246766&start=90&msRange=15 .
