Ridges are not a good thing. Lap that bad boy :)
The machining process will make the pattern uniform across the surface. If you can actually feel them then then that's pretty poor quality. You should see a dramatic improvement if you lap it.

I would say your fan is not running at 12 volts with those temps, CPU seems very high. I would suggest getting a 3 pin-4 pin splitter and running the fan off your power supply directly. That way you know you are getting 12 volts. It'll be noisy though :( Some heatsinks are ridged to allow them to cl...

Nice work herosformula. 8) Got any specs on the radiator, links etc? Interesting looking block also. It's late and I'm also tired but I'm confused about the four pockets machined out of the copper block, there doesn't seem to be any flow between the pockets. I'll check out the thread again after wor...

Data recovery software needed !!

Erm, I had a minor brain fart earlier and accidentally fdisked my backup drive just prior to reinstalling XP on my C: drive. So I am now scouring the web looking for recovery software. I can find plenty of demo's that let me see the stuff on my FUBAR'd drive but they only allow you to recover...

Hmm, I think I need to try that bungee thing with my pump. The best place I have found for various tensions, thickness etc is the local marine hardware shop.
I have been meaning to look into flowmeters also, can be expensive for a decent one AFAIK.

Zhentar, I have a 1250 . I haven't tried the Hydor ( probably my next purchase will be a Hydor L30 or Little Giant) Anyways I can feel my box vibrate with the Eheim. I only have it sitting on velcro at the moment. I figured that would dampen it enough but that's not working. From what I have read th...
