Well, I'll throw in my results aswell... Was a bit nervous after ordering a inno3d 7800GS if my system could handle it. No worries! - Pentium 4 2.8C (SLK-900 on it) - 4*256Mb PC3200 DDR Ram (Twinmos) - Samsung P80 160Gb SATA (Can't remember exact model...) - Soundblaster Audigy2 - 2*Panaflo 80mm (Co...

Holy Toledo Batman! We have a winner! Actually been thinking about that recently, why not have the res double as a cooling device. Kind of taking the Reserator without the pump and using it as a reservoir... Since I don't have the skills to try and build one I going try to get me one of those as wel...

Ahh, great! I followed the link you gave me and read the test(s) there. Seems that it might work after all. If it doesn't... well... I guess I'm one experience richer.

Scotty6435: What's a twin WACC? Haven't seen those before?

Thanks all for your input!

70+ views and no more inputs? What do you think? Will this work or is it just a waste of money? Should I just stick to aircooling or what?

Tell me what you think! I'm open for any and all suggestions!

Thank you for your input Interitus! Well, I won't be doing any overclocking since I figure this is going to be a rather fast system to begin with. Besides, I've had some bad experiences with OC'ing before... About the case. Yes, I thought that it might be a bit cramped with all that in there but I t...

Critique my ideas on a watercooling setup

Hello SPCR! This might be the wrong forum (could be that it should be in the advice section?) but instead of crossposting I decided to ask the questions here. This will quite a long post so bare with me please! (Also, I'm a watercooling newbie but not a newbie modder.) I'm in the process of configur...

Thank you, thank you all for your kind comments :D It took me most of my summer vacation to make the thing. The box is a real old radio box. I had to make the back myself since I couldn't fit a normal sized ATX board inside. The DFI board is a bit smaller than usual ATX ones (30.5cm (12.05") x 21cm ...

I most definetely will try to install that DVD+/-RW in the topmost slot in the front. Problem is that there is a hard drive right about there. (A Samsung spinpoint 160 Gb SATA). The other small things I want to do is to install one white LED for the power on (that lights up the station selector) and...

My semi-silent "radio" computer

Hi all, I just wanted to share a sneak peek picture of my (almost) finished computer. There are a few things left to do but I've been too lazy to fix those lately. I'm at work right now but if people are interested of seeing more I will borrow a digital camera and post more pictures. The specs: P4 2...

Connect two fans to one Zalman fan mate?

Is it possible to connect two fans to one Zalman fan mate? I guess you could connect them in parallell but what would be the side effects of this? Can the fan mate cope with this?

Thanks!

Ahh! Thank you SometimesWarrior and Ralf ! I actually did a search after SLK-900 but there were so many hits I didn't see that thread! Don't think I've gut the guts to bend the fins on my brand new 900 since it's soo expensive (in Sweden atleast, don't know in the States). It's actually more expensi...

SLK-900U fan decoupling

Hello all you great people! I've recently joined this great forum and I'm in the process of building my new system. I'm trying to convert an old radio (all wooden, from the 40's I guess) into my new rig. I've come quite far but I haven't started silencing it yet... (Still need to finish the front). ...

Well, if the retail box says Super Silencer or Super Tornado it will be the new one. Also it will not have a stamped grill but rather a wire one.

Never tried watercooling but I don't know if you've seen this page? http://www.procooling.com/articles/html/project__bi-silent_frost_updat.php It's all about the YY cube case and watercooling. The guy is not going for total silence but it's a start I guess... I was thinking about doing the same thin...
