You're right, but the fifth one is mounted on my Thermalright Ultra-120 (CPU cooler) I thought that might be what you were referring to... Do you think this PSU has enough juice for the following: E6600 Core 2 Duo OC'd to 3.0GHz Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi mobo 2GB Corsair XMS2 PC5400c4 RAM (DDR2 675) Gig...

I just miss my tagan 330watt psu, which I destroyed 2 nights before. It was the most quite thing I've ever seen. I've found the failing part, which is a capacitor and blew up right in front of my eyes. I might try to replace that. If the Tagan was fine, a better choice would have been the 300W fanl...

The Silverstone in my sig will be more than enough. That spec won't even crack 200w under load.

Any 3rd party coolers for 8800 GTS?

Looking to upgrade my X1800 XL but running an ultra quiet system right now so a cooler that's just as "quiet" as other standard coolers is a definite no go. However, I haven't seen any indication that any current aftermarket heatsinks will work with the new nvidia cards. From what I can tell, the ne...

Confirm. It's better but still more than 100W over actual powerdraw of my system.

There's really no point in buying these cards. The first gen cards for any new feature are typically dogs when that feature is exploited (for a recent example the nVidia 6800 series with SM3.0). Besides, there aren't any DX10 only games coming out anytime soon. Even Crysis has so far been running on...

That's a good idea. Will probably do so when I go back to the US during Christmas (as well as an unpgraded UPS). Thanks for all the info.

To follow up, both the 20/24pin and 12v will reach everything, even the mobos with both at the top.

 Well, not that this system is any more demanding than Bar81's monster ;) Yeah, I'm running on 110v and this PSU is supposed to be only 250W at that voltage. I know it's running well over 315W as my APC UPS handles up to 315W and it hits that with the vid card at stock (warning bells going n...

Why would you waste your money on that mobo if you're not going to oc?

Also, why get the XFX when you can make get a X1900 XT with Zalman that will perform faster than the 7950 and be no louder than your CPU cooler.

This Silverstone is simply the best PSU I've ever used (and I've used a lot). Runs dead silent, no coil hum, buzz, etc and is one of the few power supplies that matches and even exceeds its rated load. I have it in a P180 with a Nexus 120mm fan at 5v and a 74GB Raptor in the front of the lower chamb...

And I think that's it. The reason I ask is that I've been having random freezing problem in games. I'm not sure if the video card is faulty, or I'm just lacking power. I figured it was time for me to upgrade my PSU. However, I used to have an X800XT and 1GB ram with the above specs, and it ran perf...

Was trying to decide between this and the Maxtor Pro 500GB and your review sealed the deal. Wanted something very quiet and the $220 price tag (.44/GB) was the clincher versus the $300+ for the Maxtor (.61/GB) As to quality, I'm kind of hesitant on WD but then the drives I've been fortunate with (Ma...

Oh, and there are 4 120mm Nexus fans running at sub 1000rpm. edit: Recently added a Maxtor Diamondmax 10 250GB PATA to the mix without so much as a hiccup. Soon, I'...

Going back to his original problem, the board most likely is toast unless he didnt fully push in a power cable or bent something terribly. Asrock has the worst customer service possible, so I would just toss it in the garbage and call it a day if in fact it is toast. I've found exactly the opposite...

This PSU is a monster. Primed it overnight and played a couple of rounds of F.E.A.R. at 2.6Ghz with RAM at 260mhz and XL at XT speeds. I know I have to be reaching the 315W limit of my UPS (an alarm sounds for overload). We'll see if 2.7Ghz triggers it tonight ;)
