Re: Seasonic SS-350TGM 80 Plus Gold TFX
I didn't know there was such a thing as TFX. Whatever happened to SFX which was the small PSU standard. And how on earth do I find this PSU and cases that fit it? I don't really care for ATX PSU's because they are so big. I have a small file server that I want to build but the HP N40L seems better t...

Hey Chris, thank you for sharing this she was a beautiful bunny. You seem like a good pet owner and you shouldn't let this loss stop you from having pets in the future. I'm sure you can make many a pet happy. Good luck!

Re: Scythe Kozuti Low Profile CPU Heatsink
Could anyone list examples of smaller mini ITX cases that the Kozuti would fit in but would be too big for other aftermarket coolers?
Thanks!
Thanks!

In addition to being on CNN "Anderson Cooper 360" on Tuesday, today Trump appeared in an interview airing Wednesday on CNN's "John King, USA". http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/04/27/trump-ive-done-a-great-service-to-the-american-people/?hpt=C1 What's with all those birthers at CNN? http://...

Re: Building a Linux developer workstation
On the P180, the rubber grommets are decent for noise, I'd rate them about a 6. I'd rate suspension an 8. A suspended enclosure would get a 10. Not sure how much better the P183 rubber grommet things are than the P180 but I doubt they're much better. Think about getting an SSD for your main drive. I...

Re: Sapphire Radeon HD 6850 very silent and not even vapor-x
Thanks for the information. Looking to get one of these. Anyone know if the other models have a better cooler than the Sapphire? Hard to tell from the pics if Asus, MSI, HIS, or Gigabyte has the best cooling system.
Edit: What about the Powercolor 6850 with a Zerotherm heatsink?

Re: So who likes the new format?
I'm sorry but you have to limit the width at some point. Coming to your site, if I have my browser window maximized, it is hard to read. My monitor is 2048 pixels wide. Limit to 1200 or so pixels if you want a wide layout. Most people limit to 974 or 960. Sentences are easier to read in narrower or ...

Please don't conflate OS support with BIOS support. 64 bit OS's will support the drive. As long as the are running an EFI type BIOS. Which all recent OS's support but only mac's come with working EFI BIOS's. This is my understanding.

Meh... I say just get 3.5" 2TB drive. Superbiz (aka ewiz) has 2TB F4 drive for only $95 which is a terrific value for what you get, Maybe it's not obvious, but not everyone is trying to make a backup of the Internet, and music collections don't tend to grow exponentially. If only 1/6 of that 2 TB i...

Hard to say if m0002a is right or wrong, so lets keep a cool head about it. Site rebranding to greencomputers.com or some such
You should really consider a rebrand or a subsite of some sort to jump on the green pc bandwagon. Maybe even make it PC+Mac seeing how macs are great low power green computers.

I went with an under-volted Athlon X2 5200, clocked down to 2GHz, on a 740G motherboard running Linux Mint. Mediatomb for the media server (about the only thing it can't serve to is an XBox360) and also running MythTV to record DVB-T. It idles relatively high (40 watts), but I prefer having the add...

Why not? You sure can do. It wont catch fire because (when everything is ok :P) your components will never get hot enough to light up the cardboard. Also cardboard doesnt conduct so you can put it on components if you want. There is a small probability that the cardboard will catch on fire. Not wor...

That being said the HIS 5770 cooling looks better than usual. I wish some of the different 5770 or 5...
