Re: EVERCASE 4252 system planned, advice and fan questions

CORSAIR XMS 2GB (4 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) I would go with 2 1GB sticks instead of the 4 512MB sticks. When running 4 you will most likely have to run 2T instead of 1T unless you get a lucky proc. The difference running 1T vs. 2T is 1-5%. To most people it doesn't ma...

The SD11G5 is based on the Intel i915GM+ICH6M chipset, a fully configurable XPC based on the Pentium-M platform. It also comes with a 7.1 hardware sound solution from Creative, GFigabit LAN, & DVI output. It also runs off a power adaptor instead of a bulit in power supply, thus reducing the number ...

If you are looking into getting a different mobo i would look into the DFI Ultra Infinity. It's one of the best out there for overclocking and almost everybody is hitting 220FSB+ as long as your processor and ram can take it. If you look on the net you will see some people hitting 270FSB which is aw...

I was thinking of getting a VGA Silencer, but this would be cheaper... Also i think i'm going to wait till summer to see if i really need to duct air to the video card. I had my room temp up to almost 80F and the processor only reached 50C when priming. I think changing the psu for another one with ...

9600XT Ultimate idea

I have the passive 9600XT and am thinking of making a duct to force air out of the back via 2 pci slots. I'm using a BQE with the stock 120mm fan at 12v and there is one pci slot above and of course below. This is my plan right now: http://home.insightbb.com/~theonlyone/vidcooling.gif The temps on t...

If you have a 64-bit processor you can try WinXP 64 bit for free. The thing is that the program you are using needs to be 64-bit to see an improvement.

I have a Xbox and would say it's quiet. You can hear it if you mute the sound when playing, but it isn't a whiny sound. You might also hear the DVD-rom spin up a little bit, but it's not annoying. Only time you will hear the drive is if you are playing a game or watching a DVD, in which you will hav...

*sigh* To bad I didn´t know this a week ago... then I wouldn´t have bought an Nvidia-board.... *sigh* Nothing never realy gets right, does it? If you have a Nforce2 board that's the best out there for socket-A. Via is total crap compared to it. You can still OC it, you just can't change the multi. ...
