Yes, I tried that but the CPU/MB got quite warm and the heat from that must have leaked up into the PS. The problem is that I'm currently using the Antec "1.6" fan that came with the case, moved to the front and running at 7 volts. As soon as I figure out whether a Panaflo fits there or find another...

Seasonic makes good.
I spoke with Vincent in tech support at Seasonic. He's been reading all these articles about the SS400 rev A2 and has offered to replace mine with an SS400 rev A1. He said their engineers were trying to be excessively careful about overtemperature problems and changed the system to rev the fan up pe...

A different kind of ducting to make the SS400 happier
In my quest to make my SS400 happier, I put in a temporary "ghetto" duct to separate the graphics card/CPU hot air exhaust from the SS400 intake. I like it enough that I think I'm going to build it out of lexan if I keep the SS400 (since the ducting requires a flow-though power supply design with no...

MSI FX5900XT-VTD128 ... quiet?
I'm looking at buying this card because of the reviews indicating it's quiet, and of course it's nice and fast to play Halo on! Has anyone on here had experience with it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

SS400 is whining out of control in SLK3700AMB case!
My Super Silencer 400 power supply is revving way up and getting loud even with my CPU at idle. Its revs also surge in a particularly irritating way. I need to do something about it and I'd love your help :) Here's the rest of the system: 3700AMB with rear grill punched and Panaflow 120mmL fan runni...

Need ideas for improving airflow so SS400 doesn't whine
I'm seeing the same behavior with my SuperSilencer 400. Here's the rest of the system: 3700AMB with rear grill punched and Panaflow 120mmL fan running at 5v; front grill in place - it's the less restrictive newer honeycomb one; original 120mm Antec fan at 5v in front grill; Athlon64 3200; Zalman 700...

What's the fan grill for?
I just mounted a Panaflo L1a 120mm into my 3700AMB, but I couldn't figure out any way to mount a circular fan grill while using the EAR isolators. I bought a few extra grills and will experiment with bending them to snap into the existing case holes. I think it can be done! However, I am asking myse...
