Well they designed it that way so it would fit every ATX case on the market. But that area, without a fan, will trap a whole bunch of heat. Similar to what Jan said, the cables should pass through the case fan area, then a PSU shaped box can go where it is supposed to, only have it insulated with n...

s754 A64 - Speedfan support

Sorry but this is one of those, "has anyone bought one of these etc etc..." posts.
However, all I want to know is this:

Which of the socket 754 boards on the market have 3 fan connectors that can all be controlled via speedfan or another piece of monitor/control software?

Thank you, and goodnight

I haven't posted to SPCR for a while now, due to not having had any ideas (or time) all summer. However, having been browsing the hardware mail-order webby's recently, I've realised that the appearance of more and more 4-channel SATA motherboards, combined with the drop in price of quality HDD's, me...

Perhaps I have a bad sample or the bearings have worn more than would be expected for a ~1 year old dr...

Bluefront, did you attempt to measure the temperature at several points along the surface of the coolpack, from the very tip to the surface of the water? For a material with good thermal conductivity, you would expect a steep temperature gradient from the hot to the cold end. As you've measured an '...

Utilising various fans I had scrapped over...

Sonata dust problems resolved

I know that almost every sonata mod has been discussed ad nauseum in this forum, but I've yet to see a complete dust-free mod for the sonata. So nothing illustrated here is original, it's just a collection of mods found on SPCR, which should rid your sonata of dust for good (although I may reserve j...

Another thing you might want to consider is that the side-panel holes let in a noticeable amount of dust.
