I don't know about that but the aluminium fan that I have (Primecooler) is very heavy.

Both are roughly the same price here in the UK. - The Maxtor has 16MB cache, supports NCQ, and is more reliable(?) and faster...

Does anyone know how quiet the gigabyte 6800GT version with the fan (GV-N68T256DH-N) will be?

EDIT: did a search and realized this is not quiet and many people are reporting high temps.
Think I'll try the gigabyte 6800 (GV-N68128DH) instead.
