I currently have the GTO2 and have it flashed and overclocked, and I can tell you that at that level the heatpipe won't suffice. I know you aren't overclocking or flashing the chip, so you should be ok with the heatpipe, but you might be pushing it... I would consider the V1 Ultra if you want better...

Hi Dan, I have had all of my tri-cool fans start clicking and then eventually fail. I found that at the high-speed setting, they are fine. When I use them on medium or low, they click, and when they failed they wouldn't even start on medium or low. I had to crank up to high just to get them started,...

Yeah, that review. Funny, everything seems to be working just fine now. My ISP must have been having DNS or caching issues, since my cache was cleared multiple times. Oh well, works now!!! Quick question: I was always under the impression that the back PCI plates were closed because of EMI radiation...

Pump EMI Interference?
Hi all, I'm just wondering if a watercooling pump could induce EMI into nearby SATA cables or chipsets... I'm having a meltdown of my C: drive on my computer every time I get it loaded... disk corruptions galore and I've replaced the hard drive 3 times... worst part is is that it's only the C: Drive...

I am not sure where you are hearing that reservoirs are a point of massive leaking, the only times when they do leak are when they are poorly made or improperly installed and the same risk applies to any componant in your loop. Even a T line will leak if its not properly sealed. Also, if you are lo...

I think after shipping and taxes, I am up around $390. I'm going to be adding at least $20 more for the brass top to the MAZE4GPU this summer. However, at least $20 of that was mistake buying, as the Pass-through kit was not able to be used, and I mis-ordered the amount of hose clamps so I had to pa...

wow nice setup. how loud is the pump?? i heard the big water pump and it was fcking loud. so i never went to Water. After you get the air out of the system, the pump is extremely quiet even at full setting. I'm sitting here next to my computer which is roughly 3/4 of a meter away from me and down t...

nice. do you think that big tubing is really helping with the size of your radiator? is it a method to not use a resevior? What is the flow rate of that pump? What are your temps like? I think the tubing is probably overkill, but it lets everything flow very smoothly, and it fits in my rig, so it's...

Big Thanks
Many thanks to frankgehry, FollowTheMusic, chylld, Marci, CrustyDemon_R1, and Butcher for helping me get my first water-cooled loop set up.
I have pictures (cabling is kind of messy ) if you guys want to see them.
Mainly, I just wanted to say thanks for the help!

Be forewarned: I think Arctic Cooling's service and quality is suspect. I had a fan (ATI5 R2) that was clicking really bad (worse than normal) on my ATI card. So I did an RMA. Took a while for them to even respond, so I went back to my original retailer like they recommend. They almost didn't replac...

You massively shorten the life of the drive by running it hot. If *any* piece of the drive is even close to 70C it's way too hot. Normally, I would totally agree with you. However, I have seen temps on the chips of the drive reach this hot while the drive thermal probe was reporting a decent (aroun...

Ok, I have just received some of my stuff. I got the pump and the two water blocks. I also bought the Swiftech MCB-120 Pass-through kit. On Voyeurmods.com it listed it as being 1/2", but it's 1/2" OD, not ID. So, my question is this: Here is what the kit looks like: http://www.svc.com/mcb-120.html F...

You are right; that is weird. I have an Asus P5AD2-E Premium board. It is Socket T (LGA775) with a Prescott (first, original model) 3.4 GHz. This is going to sound weird... but it's a theory... Intel is the one who designed the ATX12V specs. This was because the CPU's started to draw so much on the ...

Ok, I'll look at that tubing. I can handle $.59 a foot, but $2 a foot is a little out of my price range. I was considering a T-line but I'm not sure how to implement it. My T-line will NOT be at the top of my system... it will be right down low with the pump. And I am also not sure where to put it a...

It helps a lot. I really appreciate it! I am leaning toward getting the 1/2" from Lowe's. Any objections there? It's just $0.28 a foot vs the $3+ a foot plus shipping I've seen elsewhere. How water-tight is the seal on the resivoir fill port? I am still at college and I move my computer 4-6 times a ...

Well I just went to Lowe's and I bought a foot of both 3/8" and 1/2". The 1/2" will pass through the PCI slot as long as it is flattened. I suppose with a little bit of electrical tape I can make sure the hose won't get cut. I really, REALLY don't want to drill into my P180 case. :) Can you give me ...

Ok, thanks for the reply! I am going to go for the Storm block. DangerDen has a pretty good price on their pump, so I might get that from them while I'm getting my Thermochill rad. I am going to test tubing sizes tonight to see what will and won't work. Is there an easy way to convert the pump to 3/...
