Thank you for the reply. Your post from the other thread about the pump is what really caught my eye for this pump. I want quiet, and if I can get it from this pump, then great. And I did notice that it had a very high head and flow rate. Question about your setup: Which CPU block did you get? I am ...

Hello, I'm still getting stuff together for my watercooling setup. So far I am going for the Maze4 GPU and the TDX from DangerDen, and the Thermochill PA160 rad. I am going to probably use 3/8" or 1/2" ID depending on my pump, which is my next question. How much flow does a watercooling system need?...

Hey guys, I've had my S12-500W since early July '05. Haven't had a single problem yet with mine. I'm assuming it's because I've always had enough of a pull on the 12V line, as I have 4 HDD's. However, there had been times when I had nothing but the CPU, Motherboard, and Video Card powered up, and th...

I personally would recommend you get a Seasonic PSU. They are quiet, and are by far one of the best power supplies on the market. I purchased an S12-500W for PCI-E connectors and the updated circuit design, although I'm sure I could have put a 430W in my system. I do, however, have my system pretty ...

Just a weird question, but have you tried mounting the fan at the back of the Ninja sucking air out? This may be a little difficult to implement as the fan hub could potentially be pushed right against the fins causing noise, fan impedement, or just plain no air from the fan being stopped. Try putti...

Thank you Music... I appreciate the info there. I don't plan on doing really anything but CPU/GPU and possibly NB in the future if a decent block comes out that uses the Intel "loops" on my board... Zipties just don't cut it for me. :) I will use hose clamps everywhere there is not an AseTek "push" ...

Just a quick question: Will the PA160 be alright with this setup? I'm re-reading the post by Marci about the performance of this Rad and he says he uses 500W of power... Surely I can't be near that with the CPU and VGA together... but I just wanted to make sure. P4 Prescott and X850XTPE plus pump he...

Ok. I am now also looking at the DangerDen TDX block and their Maze4 GPU block. I am still leaning to the 12V Extreme pump from AseTek as it puts a pump and res in one, meaning less tubing and hassle for me. I know the pump has a 1020 L/H flow and a 2.4m head. With this pump I'm kind of forced into ...

AseTek 12V Extreme Pump/Res
With the ablility of this pump to be controlled via software and USB ports, will this pump be able to be quiet? Is it quiet at full? If not the best 12V pump, what is another option?
Thank you!
Thank you!

yeah sorry about that, the guide is getting a bit old and while a lot of it still holds true... 1/2" OD / 3/8" ID tubing is just fine. they are, in general, much more flexible and thus much easier to work with than 1/2" ID tubing, for which i honestly fail to see the point in a non-extreme domestic...

Hose Size and a few more questions?
Ok. I have read the guide that is stickied in this forum, but I noticed that it was kind of dated? Here's a few questions hopefully someone can answer. Fan Adapter: Good idea?
Hello, I am going to be getting a V1-Ultra and I know it takes an 80mm fan. I was curious if it would be smarter to get an 80mm-120mm fan adapter and put a 120mm fan on it instead. My reasoning was that there would be a bigger fan pushing more air at a slower speed, meaning much better airflow/temps...

Sooty, Yeah I'm in the US. That's way too much cash for a fan... over here they can be found for $15. That's on par with the Nexus, but from what I'm hearing, the GlobalWin might be a better choice. I am awaiting Carbon's answer on airflow and advertised noise, but from what I'm hearing the noise is...

Carbon, Just a little critisism on your review: Include some idea of spec airflow versus actual airflow, so we can compare values a little more easily. :) Otherwise, great review. I also saw another one you did on the 80mm version of the NCB and I'll be checking that one out too. You say that the GW...

I just posted today about my now six GlobalWins. No noise variance at all at 1028RPM. The RPM range covers a 15% span, so some variance there. You'll need a fan controller for sure, but what's new? Carbon, Can you tell me how the 12V sound compares to the Nexus at 12V? What about airflow? Ar...

Aleksi, I looked at the Panaflo fan... it's 21 bucks! That's way outta my league for a fan... even the Nexus at 15 was a little steep for me knowing I will be replacing these things every so often... the NCB fan is only 8 bucks... I can handle that... What I am wondering is if the airflow of this fa...

Just some more info, I looked up the Panaflo fans and I remembered that I have one on one of my computers at home... the 92mm version... compared to the Nexus this thing is loud to me... so I think Panaflo's are out... hmmmm.... interesting... basically let me say this: I don't want to have to use a fan controller. I want to run at 12V if possible as it reduces my cable clutter. I think the Nexus fans are pretty quiet, and anything below that is just wonderful. Knowing that, (I have looked for the Papst and Panafl...

GHz: Thank you for your reply. I cannot figure out why my fans are failing, I have never had such a failure rate either. I do hold the Nexus apart from the two Tricools that failed, though. The TriCools, I do believe, might have some kind of problem at their LOW setting. I think they are failing due...

Greetings, I don't understand -- four 120mm fans plus the PS fan (plus the CPU and/or the GPU fans) are not enough to keep this beast cool? Did you try the stock fans? Hello, I need some help here. I currently have a couple of Nexus fans inside my Antec P180. This rig is loaded pretty well and I need some airflow, but I want quiet. My point was that your setup/environment can have a lot to do with how cool it runs, and therefor if it's adequate. ... The same card in the less breezy case setup ran 10 degrees C hotter in the same ambient temp. (I presume because the hot air wasn't removed as effectively causing more of the same...

I think this also varies with how good your case airflow is, and what your ambient temps are as well. I have a Sapphire X800 GTO2 that I modded to 16 pipes, upped the frequency to 490 core/560 memory, and replaced the heatsink with a Zalman VF-700Cu. I have tested this, both with my case side panel...
