Re: Losing my hair
If I read your requirements correctly you want a case to fit: Antec H100 watercooler with 2x120mm fan on top and graphics card with Accelero Extreme attached with good construction and dampening. Antec P280 has been mentioned and is the only one that has it all. Coolermaster ATCS 840 is bigger, mad...

Re: Losing my hair
Corsair just announced the 550D, it looks like a noise dampened 650D. http://www.pcper.com/news/Cases-and-Cooling/Video-Perspective-Corsair-Obsidian-550D-case-unique-features-and-149-price Most 'silenced' cases aren't very expensive. My R3 was only $110 and it's probably 22~db @ 1m with 8 total fan...

120mm vs 140mm
Just want to get some opinions on this. Suppose that you had a case where you could mount either a 120mm or 140mm fan as an exhaust. What size would you choose? Why? And which fan would it be? I've also thought that for exhaust, any slow rpm fan would do a decent job. But wouldn't a larger, 140mm ca...

Re: Losing my hair
Hi gang, After over a week of dealing with a badly manufactured HAF X, I'm in search for another full tower case. But it seems that even with a higher budget there's no perfect case out there: 1) FT02, which SPCR likes a lot for its cooling and silence. I like how that even though it is made of alu...

I have 3* Slipstreams, 3* S-Flex/Kama-Flexes, and a Noctua P12. (Only using 3 fans total, extra fans are not installed). The three Slipstreams I had all sounded different. One of them was scratchy. The "middle" sample (very slight ticking) is still better than my S-Flexes in terms of flow/noise. Th...

Strangley enough, I'm on the same boat as you. I have the LianLi A71. I think it's a very similiar case to the A7710 that you have. I wanted to replace the stock Lian-Li fans. They're very quiet at 12v, pushing a moderate amount of air. Through the advice of a friend I've chosen to try the Slipstrea...

So i can just connect both drives onto the one sata powercable? If thats what you're saying, then it would be good, as there would be less stuff inside my case. Sorry I'm very noob at this. I have no idea how the PSU cables work, if each line can only handle so many devices, or if load it with too m...

Hey guys, thanks for all the greats and advices. I ordered the mounts from veraxfans and I should be recieving them in matter of a day or two. They shipped them up here from the states to Canada for only 3 dollars, not totally a bad deal. Sorry for not replying sooner, I have been busy as of late. B...

Need quick advice regarding SATA powercables
Hi folks. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. But I figure that you guys wouldnt mind if I ask something regarding the powercable for SATA drives. My powersupply doesnt have many of those 4 pin connectors left. Now I have to make a decision. I have two SATA powercables, each cable ...

Wow, the shipping of those 4 screws from Veraxfan would come to 11.30 by air mail only. Thats pretty pricey. I cant find them anywhere else though. Hopefully something will turn up through my search, with cheaper shipping. Why do they make these rounded cornered fans in the first place? Saves costs?...

Ralf, Thanks for the link: http://www.veraxfans.com/Accessories/1000020.htm I will try to find out if they ship here to Canada. I can see that they give you 4 rings to secure it.... are these rings just rubber contraptions or are they "screwed in". Just curious how it would be secured. Thank you ver...

Yes, the screws im using are very standard, and they are about 1inch like you've said. I cant seem to find any local store that would carry the bigger ones that you've suggested. If it's not too much trouble, would happen to know any online stores that would have these items? I have no idea what to ...

I got my 120mm silenx "ixtrema" (somehow LACKING from ncix.com) case fan from ncix.com. After running through great troubles fitting on those really hard rubber screws on ...
