Has anyone tried underclocking their cards to see how far they go, and what is th...

With such a low power system, why not just try externally mounting the power supply? This way it will stay more cool in the air outside your case. Thought about it... but I'd like everything to be clean with no external cables or anything. Anyways wouldn't it be better or more efficient to put a hu...

Running the heatpipes through the PSU would be too risky I believe, so I thought of sticking them to the outside (still don't know how) and use thermal paste to fill in the possible gaps (any ideas for this?). I won't be playing *that* much, but I'll play a bit of HL2, Doom3, and I plan on having the vidcard for more than 1 year so it doesn't get too old. I'll have the cpu at 1GHz for normal everyday use (internet, mp3s, etc), but I'll leave it at 1.7GHz or even overclock it when gaming, I thought about p...

(almost) fanless system advice
Hi First of all, my 1st message on these forums, I recommend this place to anyone who needs a quiet system :D OK here's my plan... I was getting a bit tired of my Prescott 3GHz and all the noise it made, so I decided to get a whole new system. Also I'm moving to a house in the middle of nowhere, wit...
