Re: I have really bad whine from my Seasonic P-520FL
Just received my P-520FL and noticed the whine/buzz. Not sure if it would be audible from inside a case, but it is going back anyway. My current Fanless Gold SS-460FL is much quieter. Had my buzzing Seasonic replaced with a Corsair AX760i. Audible whine and a annoying clicking sound from the fan wh...

I don't have a power meter, but judging from the temperatures reported by coretemp, this behaviour does not occur with P5W DH (BIOS 1407). I'm using an E6600 and FSB set to 333 in BIOS. Vcore is set to AUTO because manual selection is not available when C1E and Speedstep are enabled. Changing VID fr...

Speedfan is able to control all 5 of the fan headers on the P5W DH Deluxe: CPU, Chassis1&2 and Power1&2. Both chassis and power fan headers are paired so that one setting controls a group of two (one control changes the speed for chassis1 and chassis2 at the same time). This makes for a total of 3 ...

Thanks for the info. I never used speedfan, only Asus' BIOS based Q-fan. So it seems that one temperature reading controls all four fan headers. All of those four (edit: five) headers I mentioned can be controlled from bios too. From AiBooster, one can select speeds for CPU and Chassis headers only...

Graeme43, it would be nice of you to post an information: how many of the mobo's fan headers have rpm control? Speedfan is able to control all 5 of the fan headers on the P5W DH Deluxe: CPU, Chassis1&2 and Power1&2. Both chassis and power fan headers are paired so that one setting controls a group ...

How do you install windows on that board if the southbridge doesnt support any IDE and IDE is only supported by a 3rd party controller? P5W DH employs ICH7R southbridge which has native IDE. Don't know how it's done on P965 boards like P5B with ICH8 without native IDE. It hardly seems believable th...

Sorry for the thread "hijacking", but... Is it your motherboard? If yes, can you say if the EZ Backup is bootable? This piece of hardware is interesting, i think :) No, it's not mine. Found it from a Finnish discussion forum. As the EZ Backup is connected straight to the southbridge (via a Silicon ...

Asus P5W DH can accommodate a Ninja just fine.

As it happens, it seems that Conroe also packs a similar feature:frostedflakes wrote:Really interesting stuff. I don't know if it will be enough, but it should give AMD a pretty good edge on Conroe... assuming it's all true, of course. :)
