What most of these knowledable guys have posted is correct: it's not anything new. Recording studios and places were silence is held as a high priority have been using isolation boxes for years. With professional isolation boxes, which cost a VERY pretty penny, the results are probably more drastic....

Id like to hear one myself first. The power supply is on the bottom in a seperate compartment and appears to be 2 40mm fans, which I doubt is very silent. I've had the pleasure of using a Precision, which is the same case. IIRC, the Precision workstation also had the 2 40mm fans at the 1U-like powe...

IIRC, that chassis is the same as the Precision workstation ones. And I'm pretty sure they are all proprietary. PSU is also propietary (it sits on the bottom of the case and is structured much like a 1U PS is). Anyway, I've had the pleasure to work with one of those cases and they are quite nice (as...
