'Socket 479' is a bit of a misnomer as there are actually 478 pins. The pins are layed out differently to the 'normal' Socket 478 and are not compatible.

I upgraded mine ok without reinstalling. Windows XP will detect the second core when you boot up and install the relevant files for it. That's the MB for me, I've decided. :)

I little bird told me that we'll see 'em by the end of February/early March and it'll REPLACE the existing EPIA-M models at that time. :o
