You should get a 400-500w power supply, like the Corsair HX520. About the mobo, if you don't plan to use dual video cards, you could save a few $$ with the DS3R or the DS3 if you don't need the RAID. You could look for an Antec Solo but the Sonata is a good choice I used a Samsung SH-S203B and a Pio...

For a small low powered PC like yours, you should go with the Antec Solo. It'll be as quiet as the P182 with no fan in front, no fan on the Ninja, only the back fan to cool the CPU. Also, it comes with a good hard drive suspension system. It should like this : http://www.silentpcreview.com/article78...

They all use the same P35 north bridge. The difference is the south bridge wich means the number of SATA and IDE connectors and the RAID support will be different. Also, the GA-P35-DS3P model supports Firewire GA-P35-DS3L : 4 SATA Intel ( ICH9 non RAID ) GA-P35-DS3 : 4 SATA Intel ( ICH9 non RAID ) 2...

Anandtech will have a review of the new WD3200AAKS-00B3A0 in the next few weeks. That's great because I want to check the performance of the drive. My Seagate 7200.10 are fast ( RAID 0 ) but not really quiet. I want change them both and get better performance, quieter. The new Western Digital GP se...

I don't suppose you know of, or have had experience with a better/quieter PSU than the corsair? I only ask because a friend has one and I still think it's too loud I think the only PSUs quieter than the Corsair would be a passive one. However, as passive PSU will require more airflow in your system...

Here's what I mean: according to MikeC, the Corsair is a lot quieter than the Seasonic 430w when the computer uses 300w The s12-430 at 300w = 31 dBA/1m http://www.silentpcreview.com/article226-page3.html while the Corsairs at 300 w = 22 dBA/1m http://www.silentpcreview.com/article692-page4.html Sinc...

The SMP client is giving about 1700 points per work unit. My Core 2 duo E6420 with a mild overclock to 2.6 Ghz will take about 25-26 hours to complete one. If a someone has 2-3 Core 2 Duos or 1-2 Quads, it's easy to do 5-6k per day. If you have PS3, it's even more. you could try the GPU client on yo...
