I went through the exact same thing as you have with the 3700BQE -- the PSU fan ramped up too quickly and became very loud under any kind of load at all. It did get a bit warm, but I wasn't too concerned about that. Anyway, I purchased the Rev A3 Seasonic ST-300 and am very pleased with it. The fan ...

Those temps sound about right with ambient temps of 80-82F. Maybe just a bit on the hot side if you have your Zalman running at full speed (to me, it's unacceptably noisy if running more than 1800RPM or so). You might try reseating the Zalman, making sure that you aren't using too much AS5. For comp...

I have a 3700 BQE system. If you still have the factory PSU installed in your rig, the rear fan is most likely plugged into a 5V molex connector. It's pretty quiet. Personally, I do not find it objectionable at 5 V. Other posters have written similar views here. ... Hmmm. My 3700BQE stock power sup...

I would guess that it's not the case fan that is causing the wind noise in your system (the stock fan is pretty quiet even at 12v) but, as Tad has stated, is probably the Zalman 7000 fan. You have to run the Zalman fan at <1400 RPM or so for it to be quieter than the case fan. If you are already run...

RLiu818- I hardly think that Firewire port are not used by hardly anyone. For one thing, there are many, many, many, regular PC users who have minDV or Digital8 camcorders that use Firewire and would benefit from a front port. Not to mention Firewire external storage devices, which would probably be...

One note about the Globe 120mm fans. You will have to mod fan in order to use the silicon grommets that come with the 3700BQE. The fan connector holes are one long cylinder. They will need to be cut in order for the grommets to fit. The grommets simply won't jam into a solid length of tube. It fits ...

I just recently put together a system with the 3700-BQE. The stock PS is quiet under low load, but spins its fan up a little too willingly under higher load, and it takes a long time to return back to its "quiet" behavior after the system load has diminished. When the fan is running fast, it is deci...

I don't know about anyone else, but I sometimes have trouble connecting the ribbon cable on the floppy drives that don't have the surrounding rectangular plastic guide. Just got to look at where you're plgging it. Use a flashlight to assure proper alignment if necessary. Yeah, but when you're crouc...

Well, yeah, obviously I agree that RMA'ing a defective part should be handled well in any case. It sounds like Antec is a bit disorganized but they've made some kind of an effort to get your problem solved. That's the world we live in, I guess, when 95% of the manufacturers are located overseas. I s...

Don't get me wrong, I would pay more for quality. I just don't want to have to pay for expensive tech support -- because I rarely need it. Why should a do-it-yourself-er like all of us here have to pay extra for the hordes of average PC folk who need alot of handholding -- that's exactly what compan...

I'm just going to come right out and say it: I'd rather have cheaper components than stellar customer service. In today's high-tech businesses, it's far too expensive to have an elaborate, highly-staffed, highly-trained tech support team. Any manufacturer who does will surely fail because they would...
