so are the rattles all gone now? What about with the optical drive running? I was going to get a similar lian-li pc7 series but I read tons of reviews on newegg about rattling side panels so I opted to stay the hell away from lian li...... I had a v1000 about a year ago and it rattled like a bitch!

theyre probably going to phase out the p150 I would guess. still, its pretty dumb to call a p150 a sonata. I have to wonder how things are so fucked up and stupid in the big world of business. Do antec's left hand not know what the right is doing?

I'm telling you now that there is absolutely ZERO buzzing or whining emitted from the PSU (HX620W). It's interesting you mention you have an HX620W - the complaints about buzzing seem to centre around the HX520W (although some 520s apparently don't buzz). JonnyGURU's reviews of both PSUs also menti...

well, it must be a series of unlucky experiences with seasonic power supplies. I purchased 7 or 8 Seasonic PSUs in a row that all buzzed and whined. I wish this awful memory would get out of my brain. they were... HX520 x2 antec neoHE 430 x2 earthwatts 380 x2 or x3 [i think i may have had 3 of them!...

800rpm scythe fans develop a tick at anything but 12v. Sorry, I coulda told you that. I wanted to go slower so I used some resitor cables on the ones I had in my case. All 3 ticked at 7V. totally fucking sucks. nexus fans probably are the better choice for undervolting. also, I think you could proba...

i dunno, you probably wouldn't top out over 150 watts with the setup you have to be honest. I Have nearly the same with the only difference really being I have an x550. I am idling away at 80 watts and max out around 120. buy a kill-a-watts on ebay or somewhere. itll save you a lot of fumbling aroun...

To be honest I had the hx520 for about 2 months before I started noticing that it was the culprit of the weird electrical noises I was barely hearing out of my p180 at the time. I went to the store and traded it that same day and the new one exhibited the same stuff. You might find it strange becau...

To people that are claiming no buzz. Have you tried listening to it in a silent room, with only one harddrive and no fans running in the computer? Try loading the CPU as well. I believe that people claiming no buzz haven't actually taken the time, in a silent environment with zero other distractions...

arctic talks about using automotive grease. apparently, if the grease can't dry out, it'll really fuck things up. I dunno, $5 for a tube of arctic silver is hardly what i'd call expensive when you've just blown $40 on a heatsink and $150 on a processor.

sigh, this thread hurts my small, overworked brain. the Xigmatek I originally looked at was an integrated water cooled HS. Well, I think if you can get a cool running passive setup with minimal to no airflow then you're doing pretty dern good. I know the ATI x300 is very cool running, and the x1300. I hear the 2400pro is pretty icey as well. i have a x550 and when I open my case and touch it, its barely even warm [passi...

wow, cool. like you said, the seasonic has weird noisy coming out of it and the seagate drive is not the best choice. the samsung 501lj is probably a better choice for this case since the heavy steel will absorb the vibrations. anyhoo. great work. I like it very much.
