I have a Toshiba Z3030D 42", though since i got it HDTVs have become cheaper and better. At the time it was one of very few sets that supported 24p properly with 5:5 pulldown, not entirely sure what the situation is now but hopefully better. You might want to check some AV forums to make sure it's d...

Fantasy thread. Im not looking for a big sedan, more in the lines of A3, 118 3-door hatches... The C6 is probably the best choice if looking for a relaxing, quiet and smooth car, and probably the worst if looking for performance and sharp handling. It's most likely also the worst in terms of depreci...

I put a Coolink GFXChilla on my 4870 because the Accelero S1 is out of stock everywhere, anyway it´s quiet enough for my HTPC and cools the core just fine(not spectacularly supergreat fantastic mind you) but the VRMs are a real problem. Stock cooler keeps them at about 95°C(which is still bloody h...

Out of those i´d have the C6. It´s just so much more interesting than the other cars. I´ve driven this years models of the A6 and V70, which is essentially a S80 estate. Also been a passenger in 9-5s quite a lot, and also a bit in a new C5 with the fancy suspension. And several taxis, so 5-series...

Continuing the long tradition of this thread being the official preview thread for my systems, here's a pic. The reason for the picture is that im wondering if anyone knows if its possible to do without the adapter bit with the small connector coming form it. Apparently it is so i can turn the syste...

I very much doubt it has room for "Dominator" type memory if the slots are under the heatpipes. Maybe on the side of the heatsink. Also, on Intel boards it is indeed possible to choose the orientation of the heatsink. Not on AMD boards though, only two ways, and which way that is depends on the orie...

Yes well, an office job is the last job i ever thought about doing, if possible even less anything customer service related, and certainly not talking on the phone! Still, it has to do with cars and the people at work are nice. Well, most of them are  I can't imagine doing this for very long t...

I would buy a 50 million billion watt PSU if it was efficient in my computer. But i would not want to pay a lot for capacity i will never need. I paid 67€ for my Pro82+ 425W, but i would not pay 140€ for the 625W version since i dont need it. So if the 625W version was the "smallest" one, i woul...

Apart from unstability caused by setting the voltage too low, it can't physically hurt anything. It may actually increase the life of the processor. Just make sure it's stable by running some tests. The power draw of the processor affects the efficiency of the voltage regulators and PSU, so gaining ...

Dynamat Extreme with some Dynaliner on top is probably the best idea by far. Or Extremeliner is even better if you don't mind the price.. One pack of Dynaliner should be good for two computers, so it's not terribly expensive but still pretty pricey. Also Dynamat is usually cheaper if you buy the big...

Nevermind, see edit. So is the case with the smaller and not square PCB and the "ribbons" on the bottom, or the case with the bigger PCB and flat bottom better? Also the upper side is different but the bottom is easier to explain. The top of the second type i mentioned looks more like the old WDs. I...

If i remember correctly the Nexus comes with both a 3-pin and a 4-pin connector so you can connect it to the motherboard or directly to the power supply. Fan control on motherboards differ, but if it's a somewhat recent boards it's safe to assume that the motherboard has the ability to control the C...

You could try a 80x15mm NMB-MAT from Dorothy Bradbury. There's no room beside the PSU to mount a fan on the outside of the PSU?

I certainly prefer to work on Lian-Li cases compared to Antec. Much nicer in every way, but then you do pay more for it. If i was in the market for a tower case right now i would probably go with the Lian-Li PC-B25B. Nice, simple door, Two 120mm intake fans a and one 120mm exhaust. You can choose th...
