V3n, Great pic, I have the same setup but havent assembled it yet. Have you had any chance to measure chipset temps with the Nb passive cooler yet? Also, do you have a fan of some kind running nearby? I am curious what kind of 3Dmark03 or other 3D scores you might be getting at X8. chipset temp is ...

Installed the DFI system last night and there is no way the 6800 with the vf-700cu will go in the top slot without hacking the ZM-NB47J to shreds.

Ive ordered OCZ VX from OCUK to run 1T-2-2-2 at 250 mhz

Most likely to run it around 3.2-3.5 volts which could get toasty

Superb post macman :)

Thats great news that it fits in the other slot with no modding needed.

I have 2 pci cards which i want to use so i'll be modding the ZM-NB47J like you.

I just hope the VF700-ALCU GFX cooler doenst cause any trouble on a 6800 GT

Hey, I just thought of something. I wonder if you can just use the lower PCIe x16 slot on the DFI board for the graphics card. Then it would all fit nicely. The passive chipset cooler, the vga silencer, it would be perfect. Time to go check the online manual. Im pretty sure you can but using the lo...

I really would like to go Nvidia (they support stereo 3d in drivers which i use when gaming) but Gigabyte dont make the Nvidia silentpipe model in PCI-X

The ATI model is faster and cheaper than the 6800 anyway

Sounds good but you will need a good case to get the hot air away from that passive 6800 and passive psu

I want to do exatly the same thing but am unsure whether it would be stable and what kinda temps it would get to after 4 hours of gaming in hot weather
