Hi.

i'm interested by one of those too, i'm planing buying a new pc in october, and i want a very quiet one.
somone on the yahoo silent-pc group did a small "review". you can check it at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Silent-PC/message/4789

it would be nice to have it reviewed here, as the tests linked by captech are of course good, and we don't know the reputation of "pc for alla" and "MikroDatorn".
can someone tell us if these are serious magazines?

hello there, im a new user from sweden who is quite familiar with mikrodatorn and PC för alla....

Both magz are very serious, with mikrodatorn being my favourite. PC för alla is more mainstream but mikro is positioned as more of a " tech" oriented rescouce. I would acctually go0 as far as saying that mikro. is alot better then most american and english magz. When mikrod. is saying that a product is really good, trust me, it is!!

Furthermore, its sad, but cabtech refuses to just sell the box and psu seperate.....

We did have some contact with them, but they seemed reluctant to send us a review sample. Perhaps some readers could suggest to them? They might decided we're "big enough" now.

Hi Mike.
did you contact them just when the site started or when you already have some nice reviews? (i'm thinking about the via eden and the zalman psu).

As you'll have (if i remember correctly) acces to an anechoic chamber AND that the site is growing they might change their mind.
in their comment of the reviews they say "The magazine lacks the possibilities of measuring noise in accordance with ISO 7779 and so settles for the somewhat unscientific, but rather practical test of putting the computer alongside a 'standard' Pentium-based computer."
so if you'll have acces to the chamber, they might send you a pc to review as they'll have a "scientific" review to link.
