Hi all,

I was wondering what would be a good motherboard for my 1600+ xp agoia, i was thing of an epox 8k3a but my local shop have said that the board is now discontinued :( the only other board i was looking at was a abit kx7-333 as its only £70 but i don't know what voltages i would allow me to put though the cpu (undervolting) but i do know that it allows little in the way of overvolting which i would also like to do so that i can get the max out of the cpu on the rare occasions i need to overclock(could anyone with this mobo let me know?)

Any suggestions for a motherboard with a "good voltage range" for cpu and ram will be greatly recieved.

thanks for your time

What'd I'd advise u to do is to do some homework on the overclocking sites about motherboards like http://www.hardocp.com and go through the specs that they list for the motherboards :) and like http://www.motherboards.org look at the sites and most of them will list the voltage ranges and the stepping of the ranges u can use as well if u're looking for a good voltage range I'll point u to the http://www.silentpcreview.com/modules.p ... =37&page=1 underclocking and undervolting guide, a primer
hold this helps u :)

Another mainboard you can run your processor on 1.1 V is Soltek SL-75DRV5, and it's cheap too :D

Another good thing in 75DRV5 is that it comes with a thermal sensor. You just put one end of it on the MB's thermal sensor connector and the other end to the place the temp of which you are going to measure.

Another vote for the Soltek - I have an SL-75DRV4 that has the best over/under-clocking features of any motherboard I've ever owned. I suspect the 75DRV5 is also in the same category.

Oh yeah - tear off the fan that comes with it - you don't need it. :D
