speedfan doesn't work properly

Post by ICERx911 » Thu Apr 21, 2005 9:38 pm

I've been using speedfan for a while now and i notice that my fans rpm don't show up when i run speedfan. Everything else works but not the fans.

I notice that the Fan RPM only shows up after i run EVEREST.

Is there anyway to fix this problem?

My specs are below:

GPU: AMD 64 3200+ winchester core with XP-90AL heatsink
Graphics: ATI X800XL with VF-7000CU heatsink
Case: Lian Li V-1200B
Memory: 2x512mb of Cosair value PC 3200
Hard drive 1: Samsung 80 gig SATA hard drive
Hard drive 2: Maxtor 120 gig IDE hard drive
Sound card: Audigy 2

  • Start SpeedFan and go to the screen above.
  • Note the values that are shown after FANx mult and FANx div (were x is a number).
  • Close the screen.
  • Do what you normally do with Everest that let the RPM's show in SpeedFan.
  • Go again to the screen above and look if the values have changed.
  • If they have changed, then put a checkmark before remember it.
If using Everest doesn't change the values, then try some different values yourself.
