MikeC is the guy who heads the only real nitty-gritty quiet compootin' site on the web. Sho' they be others, but they's mostly juss' a talkin' about it, while Mike's doin' it most all of it. And he's in here all the time with us to boot, always got something real good to chip in. Mikey C gets my vote.

Bladerunner and Rusty get a bang on tie for second place. Both total wow-factor DIY'ers, two equally important strategies persued with total excellence.

I say the wild Japanese guy ( NU-san [email protected] ) gets special prize for total dedication  We all have things to learn from him. But man I wouldn't want to upgrade on his machine. And I just wish he would join us in here :(

I hereby throw all support behind Mike and Kurt. If it wasn't for them none is this would be here. Including my little article.

Maybe we should chip-in on a nice Christmas present for them? :?

(You guys do do christmas up there in the frozen wastelands of Canada, right? )

Hi all,

Who started this thread? MikeC, was that you??

Anyway, I'm with Rusty075: Mike & Kurt!! Rah Rah.

Besides, isn't the Japanese Guy & MikeC one & the same!?

As for the Chrismas presents to Mike & Kurt, what do you buy a computer (geek) that has everything? What about a hamster?

To Rusty075,

Yes, we celebrate Christmas up here in the frozen wasteland

The Christmas tree doesn't fit into the igloo, but we decorate the snow-laden trees with ornaments & Christmas lights & put the presents under the tree.

The stockings on the chimney is also a problem. No chimney!

Snicker Snicker :)

 In casting my vote, I neglected due diligence, and failed to vote Kurt with Mike. He was nonetheless not forgotten. His name less often appears in these forums than dose 'MikeC', but we know he is ever present, the ghost in the machine.

As to a Christmas prezzy, we know they need a good SPL meter. Ok Ok, not trying to be self serving (we know who wins if they get one  ), but that must be a pain in his ass, and I think Mike hinted somewhere that a donation would be welcome.

EXTECH - Digital Sound Level Meter ?

How about a year's supply of earplugs? Mike also seems to be awefully fond of SPCR's panaflo reference fans...
