Thermo-acoustic cooling device

I thought about this heat-to-electricity conversion - in a heatsink - more than a year ago, but couldn't find a proper answer.

It remains to be seen how much improvement to this technology will come in the next years.
If the industry switches to carbon transistors, that can withstand much higher temps, this thermo-acoustic cooling may become a winner.
