Hi friends
The title says most of it. I downloaded Speed 3 to tell me CPU speed. On battery, it rightly hovers as low as 400 MHz (normal 1.8Ghz) when idling. but on AC power, EIST seems to turn off.
now i've looked all around power options in control panel, and i can set Minimal CPU state and Maximal CPU state separately for 'battery' and 'plugged in' (which i have set), but the CPU speed doesn't seem to be altering at all when plugged in (fixed at 1795) - i want to turn eist on even on AC power, to run the laptop cooler & quieter. Any hints on how exactly to do that? i can't seem to find EIST itself in power options in control panel.
many thanks
How to enable EIST on laptop (Samsung Q45) when plugged in?
