Please try to remember that this is a forum, not a chat channel. It's completely normal for a post to go unanswered for several hours. You should generally wait 24-48 for a reply before bumping your question. People live in different time zones and have different things going on, and expecting them to answer a question within two and a half hours is completely unresonable.

Now, I've never had a problem with the noise my mouse makes, so I'm not really in a position to answer your question. However, SPCR did review a couple not too long ago: http://www.silentpcreview.com/article800-page1.html

As an old and illustrious member, I would think you'd have learned by now that it's impolite to bump your own thread less than two and a half hours after you created it. I can't imagine why replacing a mouse is that urgent. No, I do not think this looks like a chat channel; I was suggesting that perhaps you did. Nothing I've seen yet has made me reconsider that assumption.

Now, then, back on topic: What kind of mouse do you currently use? All mainstream mice are going to click, but if we knew what you were currently using we might be able to suggest something quieter which is readily available. However, if you want absolute silence from your mouse, there are two ways you can go. First, take a look at the link I posted earlier. If you're looking for the ultimate in mouse silence, you will definitely want to look at the mice covered in that review.

Second, you could take your current mouse apart and remove the clicking mechanism in the switches. In most microswitches like those used in mice, the click is independent from the switching action - it's actually a separate part, which can be removed by opening the switch housing. The switches aren't meant to be opened, so you'll have to carefully superglue them back together, but it's a cheap way to get a silent mouse.

Quiet Mouse is pretty good. Avalability is completely different. Basicly is mouse doesn't click... it means that its broken... but then that's me and I am heretic anyway :P
