Got the rx1500 today:
- looks great
- comfortable shape
- mouswheel can be switched between free-wheeling and and "clicky" - so if you don't like clicky mouswheel this one is perfectly silent in free-wheeling mode.
- *very* precice, works perfectly on a wooden desk and is just as accurate as my g3.
- standard mouse feet, rather noisy and doesn't glide as well as my logitech g3 when using it on on my wooden desk. Not problem on a mousepad though.
- Due to the nature of the mousewheel you can't middle-click with it (clicking it, which requires quite a bit more force than a normal mouseclick switches between free-wheeling and clicky), unfortunately this is a deal breaker for me, as a linux user a mouse without a middleclick is unusable for me. There's a button above the wheel which works as a middle click out of the box, but for a button I use all the time it's too akward to reach...
Overall a a very nice mouse, esp. for the price but the lacking middle-click is a problem...fortunately I only bought it for my laptop so I'll only use it rarely, but still...worst case I can always give it away to my sis or dad, they seem to wreck mice on a regular basis and don't even know that mice are supposed to have middle clicks
Let me know how good the puppy is, they're not available around here yet from what I can see, if it's good I might give it a try
