It would be nice to see a review of a PSU based on new ToPower designs, like the BeQuiet P6 series. Should be completely redesigned PCB, RoHs compliant, Active PFC thingies.. Available both with two 80x25 fans a 120mm fan.

Here´s a picture from www.skenegroup.net

It has a shiny, reflective finish, and nicely sleeved cables, some of which can cut down on EMI.
? I know twisted cables can cut down on EMI; but sleeved? Surely it will have no effect, if the sleeving material is not a conductor?

The PCIe cables are sleeved with some kind of copper alloy.

One question is why make the ATX cable detachable? There's no situation where this cable isn't needed.
If you have a set up that you might want to remove the PSU and not disconnect the MB cable from the board.
Perhaps:
The MB cable is tucked away /bundled with the other cables.
Customizing the cable with out risking the PSU unit.
It is simpler to un attach all the PSU cables at the same point.
The MB cable is hard to get to on the board.

Potentially, this could be very useful for:

1. Having a 20+4pin cable vs a 24pin cable vs just a 20pin cable

and/or

2. Having different lengths of ATX cable

I couldn't help noticing how much engrish was included with the product, particularly that this is infact marketed as a 'power suppey' according to the front of the box. *chuckles*

What he meant is that some of the cables reduce ripple and EMI, a few of the connectors have ferrite rings and capacitors to make the power cleaner :) I have a picture of the thing ripped apart somewhere, one of these days i will learn to name my digital photos properly

Exactly. With detachable ATX cable you can mod it to fit your needs *without* voiding PSU warranty, Apart from the obvious bling reason, this could also be used to reduce cable clutter inside the case: the ATX cable tends to be pretty thick so having one with exactly the right length could help the cable management.

Yeah, and if you use it as a scond PSU (however you must somehow short to pins to start it anyway)
