Hello Devon,

You're right, fairly ho hum and predictable: closely spaced fins = good performance with high airflow, but lousy performance with low air flow.

I have not been keeping up with heatsinks (because if the Ninja fits...), but aren't there some Themalright (SI-120?) or some other "popular" HS that are decent?

Nice review. There are a few typos, though.

- gHZ instead of Ghz.

- FAN DETAILS - > supposed to be in header format?

I'm still using my XP120, which is still really awesome. I plan on putting it in my new NSK2400 and hopefully have it so the air passes through it so maybe I can run it passively ;)

Ok, fixed the FAN DETAILS formatting.

I'm going to leave gHZ (and proprietry) as is for now; both typos are copied and pasted from nMedia's web site. I usually try to minimize the changes I make to specs and features that I quote. Perhaps I should change this? Feedback would be helpful.

If you decide to change it, change it to GHz wich is the correct one, not Ghz

how come the airflow footnote is still in the measurement table as there are no airflow measurements?

great review as always. Still be nice to have a review of the SI-97A though - it has similarly closely spaced fins, but they're considerably shallower. Be a great way to test the whole depth of fins hypothesis you mentioned in the article :)

That looks a heck of a lot like a Zalman CNPS8000.
