Sometimes a review is as important for products we don't buy as it is for those that make the recommended list. Thanks for the effort.

I'll still buy AMD. It just won't be this chipset.

Seriously. The 780G board I got (Asus M3A78-EM) is between $70-80 shipped at any given time, and it has every feature under the sun. Only thing I would like to see is the updated SB, but I don't have a Phenom at this point anyway.

Especially if you consider that many of us will use parts in different functions over there lifetime--that board is currently my main one, but it will make a great HD HTPC at some point.

So what is the difference between the 760g and the 780v?
Aren't they both 780G without the HD?
