Looks interesting, price point will be key. I wonder if the coil whine could be reduced...

The VFD looks like a missed opportunity. It would have been perfect for displaying a progress bar or time remaining in XBMC. Might be replaceable with a bit of hacking.

In this day and age I think USB3 should have been included.

Really clumsy cooling solution, why couldn't they find a way to use all that aluminium as a heatsink, e.g. on the lid? Or at least exhaust the CPU air directly through a vent.

The board is the Giada MI-E350T, they produce a number of ITX boards including Thin Mini-ITX, be interested to know more and whether any available in retail stream? Newegg has them listed but all out-of-stock...
