At newegg, most known decently quiet 400~450W PSUs run ~$60.

Not cheap for the power, but for the noise, definitely not pricey.

Well, let's say you buy a typical 80+ 400W PSU for $50. It's not going to be 11dB unless you swap the fan. A good 120mm fan is $10. So now you are up to $60. Now you have the time/effort it takes you to do the fan swap. For some people that is far less than $20, but for others it is more. Bottom line, price is reasonable if you don't like the idea of having to do a fan swap and silence is you top priority for PSU.

Is there a reason that the Feature Highlights refer and link to the Nexus NX-8060 (600W modular PSU) rather than the Nexus Value 430

Obvious reason -- the NX-8060 review html file was used to start the review & those nx8060 references were missed. Corrected now.

The price from endpcnoise works out to Â£44ish (God Willing relatives are coming from Cananda to UK in July) but I've just bought a second hand Liberty 400W from ebay.

You can't complain about the price since it's the least expensive PSU with that kind of low noise output.
The only one I can think of is the Pro82+, if they're anywhere close to the reviewed Modu82+ in terms of noise,
but I've read so many different opinions about them that I don't know what to believe anymore.

The 125 mm depth is also a good thing for those who usually needs the shortest optical drive possible for small cases.

Could you include heat generation (output - input) in the "OUTPUT & EFFICIENCY: Nexus Value" table? That way it's clearer what amount of heat is being generated.

It would work well -- the top cover is vented directly over the 3480 PSU position. Am thinking of replacing the Silverstone 300W fanless in our audio PC with the Value 430 so the fanless on can be put to work where absolute silence is more useful -- like on a new HDD test rig to run in the anechoic chamber.

Is it not clear enough now? The in/out numbers are right next to each other, the difference = heat. I'm loathe to put any more columns in that table, it's too wide already.

EPCN is a US company and their price is US$80 -- which works out to Â£57.

Thanks for this review Mike. It's heartening to know that off-the shelf PSUs are capable of this low dBA level now.

Anyhow, after a quick glance it appears Nexus PSUs do not make it to Australia

scan.co.uk sell the Corsair VX450 for Â£51.76 inc VAT so this is quite a competitive area of product space.

Sweet! There's plenty of these PSU's available in Finland. GNT's nation wide stock has nearly 450 units of these. For once, Finland has something good and quiet plenty.

This is nearly 30 â‚¬'s cheaper, somecases nearly 40â‚¬'s cheaper than Enermax modu82+. Finnish price is between 63 to 68â‚¬'s for this PSU. Definately not a bad price for such quiet PSU. Enermax is around 89â‚¬'s to 99â‚¬'s.

Oh, yes, I have found my new PSU!

What's going on with the missing UL file number? It's one of the things I always check on my power supply, because it's the only part of a system that's likely to cause an electrical fire.
