Low-profile cards and the 6670

All of the reviews of the 6670 to date have referred to a low-profile reference design in addition to the standard-eight reference design. Has anyone other than AMD actually manufactured a low-profile 6670?
The mission is a system capable of gaming with demanding games at 720p in a low-profile case. Powercolor for a short while made a 5750 in low-profile, but I can't locate them for sale any more... and Palit makes a low-profile GTS 450, but it has a reputation for a noisy blower and running far too hot for comfort (and there is no aftermarket cooler available that would fit that card). The 6670 shows real promise as a gaming card at 720p, but the promised low-profile design hasn't materialized yet.
The 6570, though readily available in low-profile, is just a little too weak for good gaming.
Frustration!
