Does PH-TC14PE fit in an Antec P280 with its two fans?

Phanteks states that its cooler is 171 mm tall. Antec states that its case has 170 mm of clearance for CPU cooler.

If I ever have to replace the trusty Ninja then PH-TC14PE would be my choice. The blue one. Arguably, best looking tower cooler ever. A little pricey, but hey, if you replace the cooler every 6 years or so, then why not?

I read on OCN that FrostyTech has proven that "Red" (which is reviewed here) is cooler than Blue, Orange and White (Black wasn't tested). Maybe it is quieter or acoustically smoother as well.

Now that is interesting. You think color would not affect all. Now all colors must test two or three to remove sample variance and confirm red is better. That would mean Orks were correct when they said "Ev'ryone knowz red wunz go fasta!"

But Red would be my chouce. Its color of Ketchup, Blood Angels and Khador and many, many other good things in life.

Actually, if some of the heat is leaving via radiation, then you want a black object ideally, and red is actually closer to black than other colors.

Not to derail the occasional trolling fun, but I'd guess it's all down to quality of workmanship behind individual coolers - how fins are pressed/soldered onto heatpipes, base finish, perhaps even heatpipe quality. The legendary "original Ninja" seems a fitting example.

I don't understand why this was compared to the Noctua NH-D14 instead of NH-C14?
