Re: Icy Dock Blizzard HDD Enclosure & EZ-Dock Docking Statio
Quick question on the esata statements... Does that mean the esata port on my sata 6gbps only motherboard is likely a 6gbps port as well? I've looked around but I haven't found anyone actually test the same setup in both internal and esata ports to check. Nor can i find any mention anywhere that esata supports anything over sata 3gbps speeds.

IIRC the USB interface performance limit you're seeing would probably be solved with a USB controller that supports USAP or whatnot. I don't think it's specifically a hard limit with USB 3.0 you're seeing.
AsMedia controllers with appropriate driver do support this, and I believe if your testing OS was Windows 8, Windows 8 natively supports USAP.
