Great review once again, thnx!

I was wondering: Have you ever examined, what those - seemingly unnecessary - top covers/shrouds on the heatsinks do for cooling performance?

I´m almost sure they will obstruct airflow and decrease performance, but I´ve never seen anyone actually test it.

Perhaps they are to difficult to remove, but I´m pretty sure I´m right... :D

Thanks for the review. I was actually waiting to see how the Dark Rock successor would pan out, even if I don't use megacoolers for builds. Looks like it's all quiet on that front still.

The non-standard fan designs are just baffling: it's added cost for no benefit, surely, at least size and shape wise. At least the bases (if not the mounting) are shaping up on recent models.

I know this is an old thread, but I figure better late than never. I think you inversed the fan positions. The 135mm is meant to be in the middle like when you unboxed it, but the test setup picture shows the fans reversed!

I'm personally going to try this cooler with a second 135mm instead of the 120mm. Is there no way to use the 120mm (or 135mm for that matter) as a case fan? The mounting corners from the SilentWings 2 fans won't work on these since there's no open corners right? Maybe with the ShadowWings ones?
