Thanks for an SFF review; they're the system of choice I recommend for ordinary home users these days and I've been curious about the BRIX series. Gigabyte offers more variety than Intel does with NUCs, unfortunately it seems that includes lemons as well.

People who have bought NUCs have given me overwhelmingly positive feedback, especially when paired with inexpensive 2.5" 256 GB SSDs. It's a bit of an investment at close to 600 euros though.

Am I the only one who wants a SFF system like this with a Heatsink mounted on it that is twice the size of the system itself?

I'm not big on Adventurous DIY - if someone would put out products like this they would instantly relieve me of my wallet...

You guys aren't the only ones... I would love something like this with a big heatsink. Gigabyte did a nice job on the Brix Pro right up to the cooling solution, and then it's like they just slapped on an under-sized heatsink and fan and figured it was good.

The tricky part seems to be creating some sort of adapter block that will allow the use of a standard heatsink. Besides the CPU, there is also a second chip that needs cooling.
