Looks like a nice quite system. And I know what you mean about the hard drive. It's a lot work trying to make them inaudible

what model Samsung drive do you have in your machine? I have the 160gb SATA model and it did produce a bit of seek noise until I suspended it, and it has since been inaudible... It never created any whine that I could detect with the case closed...

I've got the 120GB PATA model. Judging by other comments elsewhere in forums, I think I lucked out on this one. I don't mind the seek noise so much, but I have really good high-frequency hearing and live in a quiet neighbourhood, so the whine is a bit of an annoyance. I've included a picture of the
motor and the
label on the drive.
