- Heatsink : Aerocool DP-102
- Fan : NMB 120mm @5V
- HDD : Samsung 120gb (suspended in the 5.25 space)
- TV: PVR350
temps : 45-48°C CPU, 31°C HDD
Insight to version 1.1
- hdd is making a continusous brush sound (kinda of like airflow) : maybe some foam
- altough the fan/airflow noise is really low, I guess it could run passive.

Wow, I don't know much about SFFs, but that is one CLEAN looking machine you got there! And it looks pretty silent from here...

I see you removed the fan mounts from your Deep Impact DP-102 heatsink. How difficult was that?

Any chance you could measure from the surface of the baseplate of the heatsink to the top of the top disc for me? I know the specs say total height is 100mm, but I'm interested in the height
minus the last nub of the heatpipe.
My case may be too slim for this heatsink. If I take off the fan shroud and drill a hole just big enough for the central heatpipe, though, it may fit - and transfer some heat to the chassis.

It's around 103mm, I measured it at 107mm with the last heatpipe stuff.
(from the white plastic of the socket, was in a live pc, so it may be off by a few mm)

Damn - when I remeasured, it looked like I only have 85-90mm to work with. I don't think I'm willing to hack fins off a 55mm heatsink just to have it radiate a little heat to the case. Thanks for the measurements, though.
