My Silent PC (Watercooled and damped, lots of pics)

Post by Qwertyiopisme » Sun Aug 22, 2004 6:44 am

Okay... Here is my main rig, which I have been silencing for a while now. Currently the noisiest thing is my 2x Seagate 160gb harddisks, which I may watercool and dampen later on, if they bother me too much.

Oh and yes, I did spray paint the CD/DVD drive myself, I'm actually quite glad the way it turned out.

i dont pretend to know much about watercooling, but dont those long pipes slow down the flow?

still, looks like a nice clean job and a quiet pc.

Yeah, the pipes are quite long and slow a bit of the flow, but there is definetly enough, as the CPU hovers around 44* with the papst fan a 5V. It filled 75% of the resevoir in maybe 10 seconds, and it holds maybe a liter, so that would be .75L/10 seconds, whcih gves roughly 4.5 L/min, so I would guess that my flow rate is between 3.5 and 6 LPM.
