In the week, I complete our dream project. Apple G4 Cube modify to Centrino PC; I give it name is Centrino G4 Cube, spec. :

Centrino Dothan 1.8GHz with 2MB Cach,
512MB DDR333, 80GB 7200rpm HDD with 8MB Cach,

Very sweet :)

I have to admit, as much as I hate all things Apple, the G4 Cube was a most beautiful looking PC.

Several points:

#1: First picture. drill dust & electronics :shock: :shock:

#2: I know Centrinos run pretty cool but your setup looks like it's all passive - Like the original Cube. The Cube had a huge failure rate due to inefficient cooling or I would throttle the CPU way too often and I suspect the Centrino, despite all its advantages, might suffer a similar fate. Maybe you could hide a slow turning 80mm fan at the bottom? Difficult I know, but better than burning the thing up.

#3: Did you by any chance relocate the @/&%$! power button? :D

#2: This Cube our install 60mm very low noise & low speed Cooling fan in bottm for generate small push up airflow, It max Temp is aprox. 50C;
#3: Yes, I change original power button to touch on/off button(setup to lower position and tuning sensitive available), because original power button is very sensitive(same level), I don't like that!

Great job! :D You should definitely submit it to http://www.mini-itx.com for their "Projects" page. In fact I've just had a look and somebody has already done one (wasn't you was it?). But yours looks better executed anyway.

I believe that logo is molded into the several layers of plastic/acrylic. Damn hard to get rid of.

I've always liked the looks of macs. I was thinking of doing smoething just like this right before I saw this thread. Id never be able to make it that clean though. Thats awesome man, kudos.

Id leave the entire enclosure just the way it is, logo and all.
