Everyone Else took all of the good titles......

Post by Burtie21 » Thu May 19, 2005 3:58 pm

Anyways here we ho:

My system specs are as follows:
DFI NF2 ultra infinity
Barton 2500+@ stock/zalman 7000alcu
Radeon 9800 pro 128/ vga silencer 3
768 megs of DDr 400
sony DVD-R
Benq DVD-RW
450watt generic psu
1 80 gig dm9
1 80 gig samsung

I plan on soon upgrading to an A64 3500+ venice core, havn't decided on the mobo yet, but i want nforce 3 250gb

But even sooner i will be getting 2 nexus real silent fans and a seasonic s12 430 watt power supply.

On with the pics!(more will be added soon snough, i'm kindof in a rush, GOING TO SW episode 3!!!!)

I'll post links because i took the pics with my dads camera, because my batteries were dead, it's 8 megapixel, so 56k users would hate me

Front Bezel

The Guts!

Drive Suspension

Yes the computer is lined with cork....my dad said it was really good for keeping noise in/out, the only i've noticed is it looks ugly and makes my pc a few degrees hotter, but i used messy spray adhesive, so i don't know how easy it will be to take off!

Any other questions feel free to ask,
Graeme

PS. Suggestions welcome/appreciated

EDIT: Duh the case is a 3000b, i know, it's original!

it came with my old x-blade case, I got it from a canadian website called http://www.mocc.ca. It just basically tells me what the temps are, hard drive activity and whether or not the fans are spinning. And the switch is a little make shift design I use when I'm going to bed, its turns my case fans completely off, leaving just my cpu, video card and psu fans still running.

What are the temps like with the fans turned off?

nothing gets above 45, unless i leave a video encoding overnight, then the cpu gets up to like 50-52, hard drives get to about 50 when encoding, but are usually at about 46-47. I find that the dvd-roms work kindof like heatsinks, they get really hot absorbing all of the heat from the harddrives.

Does anybody know how well that nero drive speed thing works? and how much performance is lost? does it work on all drive(hdd/dvd), (or just dvd)?

Thanks again for the comments, anyone have any suggestions?

So with that switch you just put in the middle of the red and black fan wires? So cut the wire in half and put the switch in the middle?

Nero Drivespeed is just for CD/DVD and i haven't tried it but i hear its good

Either I'm very unlucky or it just doesn't work properly or recognise many drives (Nero DriveSpeed).

Tidying up those cables would also be useful ;)

no ben, i didn't touch the red wires, just in the middle of the black wires, both fans are hooked up together. I mihg ttry nero, but i dont really care.

And Jordan, i was gonna tidy the wires, but im getting another new motherboard in june, so i figured id just wait till then
