Clean if anything. I'm thinking those HDs must make a racket, at least the old WD.

The loudest thing is the enermax fan on the side panel...I may get a panaflo to replace it.

Are you really sure of that ?, try starting up your system without power on the hd's, in my 3700bqe it made a really big difference in sound.

No point really...it's quiet enough for me....all I can hear is the rush of a little air.

Update:

I removed the panaflo & enermax and replaced them with NMB 3612K-04W-B66 fans. These things are great...they come with Dell systems, so they're definitely very quiet.

I searched around & found some from sidewindercomputers.com for $4.88 a piece.....I highly recommend them for anyone who needs a 92 X 32mm fan.

Both of the drives are suspended with elastic cord.

Could you take some closeups of that for me? (I'm currently trying to suspend my HD is my 3700, but can't seem to do it without my HD banging the sides of the cage)

Thanks.
