Wooden Silent Case

Post by JSealy00 » Wed Apr 19, 2006 7:42 am

Here are just some of the final pictures of a wooden case I decided to build a year ago. I love spcr and the product reviews....very useful in deciding which components to purchase and how to deal with silencing the ones I have.

If you want to read about the whole building process, you can find it in the following thread:

Very nice! The reservoir on top is a good touch. Are your drives screwed in place at all, or just presure mounted? It gives me some inspiration to finish my own design:

Slightly different Case Design

I'm still need to finish my design though. I think I got the back how I want. Now it's figuring out the front and how deep it needs to be. In the meantime, I'm throwing together a rough wooden case for an old Pentium 133 on an AT motherboard. I don't know what I would use this for, but I wanted to see how small of a case I could make for it as it's a pretty compact system.

Nah, you could make a DIY fire extinguisher system using water from the cooling reservoir.
