Quiet-ish PC build, inspired by SPCR

Post by SharkDog » Fri May 11, 2007 12:33 am

Well, i thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself by showing my current PC build.
While it is by no means "whisper quiet", it is a very nice change from my previous PC. (the main reason it's not that silent is due to the scythe kamameter only being able to undervolt my casefans down to 900 RPM)

(will have to post it in my second post, as the first post can't contain url's, apparently  )

without much further ado:
<will edit in the exact components when i get home, later today>

The build process.

I almost feel like a "1337-b0i" case modder, cutting into my case like this, but it does have a purpose.

Initial build with an intermediate vidcard.

Final build with the 8800 GTS and the HR-03+ installed.

That Thermalright HF03 Plus looks sweet! You notice any difference in sound, at idle with the stock GPU heatsink replaced?

Really nice!

Probably a very dumb question (sorry if so), but where can one find more info about that case? Looks just about perfect for fitting everything in, and cooling it well... and quietly!

That case is an Antec P180, P180B or P182 visit Antec's site give those models a look. They've also got a P190 series which is similar, but longer.
